Mary Fenstermacher
is Director of Major Gifts at Hollygrove/EMQ Children and Family Services.
Her work includes strategic identification, cultivation and stewardship
of individual major gifts; planning and implementing recognition vehicles,
events and programs; writing and designing informational materials;
giving talks to donor and community groups; plus helping to create
and implement fundraising strategies. Hollygrove/EMQ’s annual budget
is over $54 million.
Mary has worked with dozens of organizations in Los Angeles County serving at-risk and high-risk kids as a volunteer since 1990 and as a development professional since 2003. She has served on the Board of Directors of Free Arts for Abused Children and the Center For the Advancement of Nonviolence and was co-founder and Board member of the Boston Film/Video Foundation.
Prior to working in the non-profit sector, Mary produced award-winning national television commercials for companies such as Chrysler, Honda, Mattel, CBS Network and Carnation and for major advertising agencies including Ogilvy & Mather, J. Walter Thompson, BBDO and Bozell. Mary also served on the committee at the Television Academy that established the Emmy Award for commercials.
Mary holds an M.S. degree in Television and Film from Boston University, a B.A. in Art from Boston College and a Certificate in Fundraising from UCLA. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
