We're delighted to report that the In-N-Out Burger Foundation has generously given another grant to Create Now! for our Take heART! program in 2008.  This funding will allow us to bring our innovative visual arts projects to the most troubled youth in Southern California.

The In-N-Out Burger Foundation helped sponsor our Literacy Program in 2007.  Thanks to their support, Create Now! brought our unique writing projects to an additional 146 high-risk youth, an increase of 31 more youth than in 2006. 

They also contributed to the Create Now! Take heART! Program in 2006, which enabled us to bring the healing power of art to abused and neglected children at Vista Del Mar (which serves abused and neglected children). Their funding has also allowed us to collaborate with the STAPLES Center Foundation in their "Miles of Smiles" project.  Create Now! organized six of the groups that we serve in downtown Los Angeles so that their youth could paint murals on the construction fences for "L.A. Live," the new downtown entertainment district.  Youth at Alexandria House, Berendo Middle School's "L.A. Bridges" and "Woodcraft Rangers," Central Juvenile Hall, Children's Institute, Esperanza Community Housing and Linden Center school were all able to participate.  We're extremely grateful for In-N-Out Burger Foundation's support!
