She was beautiful. Fifteen, almost sixteen -- just like me.
LILY
JayJay was so sweet. Not like the other guys. We could talk and talk for hours.
JAYJAY
And the other stuff -- well that was sweet, too. You know what I mean? Then after we been goin' out for three months, I get busted. For five whole days I'm in some cell. I can't talk to Lily -- I can't touch her -- and I feel like I'm goin' crazy. So the first thing I do when I get out is go see her.
JAYJAY
Hey, baby. I'm back. Miss me?
LILY
I'm missin' my friend JayJay --
JAYJAY
What friend you talking about?
LILY
You know -- She whispers in his ear --
JAYJAY
No --
LILY
Yeah --
JAYJAY
When --
LILY
The same time like everyone else -- nine months --
JAYJAY
Lily, I'm gonna take good care of you -- and the baby -- always -- I promise --
LILY
You better -- Lily steps back. JayJay steps forward.
JAYJAY
My whole life changed that day -- I was in camp when the baby came -- But I'm gonna take care of Lily and that baby when I get out -- I promise.
