Other Projects

With so many creative arts for youth to explore, we help to initiate new projects that allow high-risk and at-risk youth to discover themselves. These artistic opportunities are not officially part of our programs yet. They are in the pilot phase where we can incubate the program and develop quality curriculum based on the experiences of the youth involved.

Our newest project is Arts xChange, which is a unique program that will bring together Hutus and Tutsis in Rwanda with rival gang members in Los Angeles through Internet technology. We have developed a special curriculum with the Western Justice Center in Pasadena.

16 youth from each country will work in four-person teams and also one-on-one to discuss issues of poverty, violence, conflict and acceptance. At the same time, we will give them art supplies to create drawings, paintings, sculptures and videos. Create Now will sponsor two arts exhibitions in Rwanda and L.A. with prizes for everyone. Stay tuned to learn more!

In addition, we are planning to develop our Dress Up fashion design program, as well as animation and digital media.
