Create Now empowers youth through arts education and mentoring. We’ve reached 49,000+ young people ages 3-24 who are challenged by poverty, abuse, neglect, incarceration, or left orphaned and homeless. We produce a variety of workshops in music, dance, writing, photography, fashion… all the arts.
Disadvantaged kids in schools also take our comprehensive classes in guitar, visual arts, writing and STEAM, plus we bring thousands of families each year to concerts, plays, Cirque du Soleil and more through our Cultural Journeys program. Create Now’s annual Power of the Arts Festivals, talent shows and mural projects are a big hit with youngsters.
Have a blast while exploring your creativity, bidding in our auction, enjoying drinks, and making new friends. Join us for a fun time as you engage in several arts projects. Do one, or all, and you’re welcome to just hang out.
|Kids’ Stuff (for Grownups, too): Enjoy making puppets out of materials you have at home, and those Create Now will provide.
Adults: Make a “Contra Drawing,” and then paint a still-life with arts supplies from Create Now.
|Bid on fabulous items and services – just in time for the holidays! We’ll send notices to your loved ones (if requested) to ensure they know about the upcoming arrival of your gifts.|
|Meet: Amazing artists, like our host actor/comedian Debra Wilson, along with artists J. Michael Walker and Brian Yanish, and Create Now’s alumnus, writer/comedian Tasha Caufield. Party as you connect with like-minded people.|
WHEN: Saturday, December 5, 2020

|6:00-7:00pm||Meet our terrific sponsors, and also Tasha Caufield, who after being in nine juvenile detention facilities from ages 12-14 turned her life around. Bid on our wonderful auction items, and feel uplifted by photos and videos of kids enjoying Create Now’s arts programs.|
|7:00-8:00pm||Create a “Contra Drawing” where you will draw an object without looking at your pencil and paper. You’ll then paint a still-life with help from artist J. Michael Walker.|
|8:00-9:00||PARTY on Zoom. We’ll have break-out rooms where you can gather in small groups to virtually mingle. We’ll switch every 15 minutes so you can connect with new people.|
